Registration and Membership Fees
We are a volunteer based, non profit organisation and therefore we endeavour to keep fees at a minimum, but we do have to ensure that we can cover our costs.
Training fees are due on the 25th monthly to cover pool hire, support annual Swim England fees (which covers insurance, the Swim England organisation and competitions), Isle of Man swimming support (£1.80 weekly contribution per per member towards the costs of employing the Island's Head Coach), training costs and general expenses (i.e. Annual awards, medals etc.) For transparency, Pool hire is presently £106.50 per hour, Swim England fees can be found here: https://swimnorthwest.org/news/2025-affiliation-fe...
In essence, annually they are:
Overarching Swim England fees:
Train: £11.85, Compete: 37.35 and Support (i.e. all volunteer staff - coaches, teachers, poolside helpers and committee members): £6.80
Regional Fees (North West)
Club fee £35 and charge per member (incl. volunteer staff) £1
County Fees (Lancashire)
Club fee £10 and charge per member (incl. volunteer staff) £1
REGISTRATION FEE
As a result we charge a £30 registration fee to help offset these upfront costs. This must be paid as part of the registration process.
MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEE
Monthly membership fees (equating to c. £7 per session) are:
Thursday Swimmers: £27
Saturday Swimmers: £20
Both sessions: £47
These fees are payable on 25th of each month to the following account and average out over the year since we have session through the majority of the holidays.
